BOO!  Happy Halloween from me, Sydney, the Drifting Bear dog!  Or should I say Happy Owloween - have you seen our new owl clocks?  If not, let me introduce you to Berty, Gerald and Polly...

These inquisitive little owls are great time keepers! Personalised with the name of your child and their birth date they would make a sweet addition to a woodland nursery or child's bedroom.  Made from wood and finished with a shiny laquer these clocks also carry a caring message to your little one.  Disguised as feathers upon his wings, are the words 'sweet dreams'.

Woof, Sydney here, the Drifting Bear dog! Where did September go? One minute I was busy barking at an exciting new delivery at Drifting Bear HQ and the next minute  October arrived! We've all been pretty distracted by our great new product here at The Drifting Bear, in fact I think I even forgot to say hello to the postman one day!

This is what's been causing all the fuss, our fab new Customisable Light Box! This light-up cinema style sign is fully customisable with interchangable letters so you can create your own words and phrases and change them as often as you like!

Each light box comes with 69 letters, numbers and symbols for you to create your own messages. There are also blank tiles included for you to create your own symbols.

How about creating an alternative to the traditional chocolate advent calendar for Christmas this year?  Sadly chocolate doesn't really agree with my tummy so I'm definitely going to be doing a Christmas countdown with this great light box!

Back in March the UK was treated to two big events, first was the amazing sight of a total solar eclipse, and second was the introduction of our beautiful and unique 'I love you to the moon and back' moon print!

This weekend we are in for another special treat from above! A very rare combination of both a total lunar eclipse AND a super moon will fill the skies. This combination was last seen in 1982 and won't be seen again until 2033 so make sure your set your alarm! You can get the complete lowdown on this event here in this great video from NASA...

June has been another busy month at The Drifting Bear and the team have loved seeing all your Fathers Day orders come in. A particularly popular product was our Framed Metal Polaroid Photo which seemed to be the Father's Day gift of choice for new dads!  Apparently human babies are very cute and there was much 'oohing' and 'aahing' here at The Drifting Bear HQ as your orders came in, featuring proud first time dads and their newborns.  Personally, I can't see how anything could be cuter than me and I am still wondering why a 'Sydney's Day' has not been introduced yet.

Staying on the theme of babies, The Drifting Bear team have come up with another new product to celebrate the new arrivals in your life! The Baby Birth Countdown Slate Frame is the perfect gift for expectant mothers or, alternatively buy for yourself and count down the days until your baby arrives! Engraved with the words " ... days until our little miracle arrives" this natural slate frame can be personalised with the number of days left until baby's due date by writing on it with chalk which can be easily changed each day as the big day gets closer! Hello, Sydney here again!

May has been another busy month for everybody here at The Drifting Bear Co. with the start of wedding season upon us and Fathers Day just around the corner.  Whilst I'm pretty sure I'll always be a single pup, I have been pondering what I can buy my dad David for Father's Day.

There's certainly plenty of new personalised products for me to choose from as the Drifting Bear team have had their thinking caps on again and produced a great new range of personalised items.

We were very excited when notonthehighstreet.com got in touch recently to ask us supply the canvases for a very special exhibition featuring images by renowned photographer Terry O'Neill, for their Mothers Day campaign. 

British photographer Terry O’Neill has been shooting fashion, film and music stars for more than 50 years. One of his most famous images is of his former wife Faye Dunaway sitting poolside at the Beverly Hills Hotel in Los Angeles in 1977, the morning after her Oscar win, surrounded by newspapers.

The notonthehighstreet.com exhibition will show a number of Terry's photographs taken of famous Mothers and their daughters from his vast archive, including Judy Garland and her daughter Liza Minnelli in 1964, Wendy Kidd and her daughters Jodie and Jemma and also Jo Wood and her daughter Leah Wood to name a few.

Terry has chosen 20 of his favourite images submitted by the public to exhibit alongside his own - including a rather lovely one of Drifting Bear co. David at the tender age of three, running with his Mum Lesley at a sports day back in 1982!
