I think it's safe to say that we've all become a lot more aware of our own health recently and what we can do to help feel rested and relaxed. The importance of sleep is such a key factor in keeping healthy that we thought we'd share some of our own tips today on World Sleep Day!
✨Breathing. Simple breathing exercises can really help calm your mind so you can fall into a peaceful sleep. Find whatever exercise works for you but we recommend using the 4-7-8 method.
✨Writing. If a busy mind full of the day's stresses is keeping you up try keeping a journal by your bed to write them down. Writing down your worries may help you release them and allow you to fall asleep.
✨Meditation. There are so many resources online now to aid in starting your journey with meditation. Even committing just 5 minutes a day to a relaxing meditation session can make a huge difference to your nights sleep.
✨Phone use. We all know we need to put our phones down more but actually doing it is a lot more difficult! It is hugely important to try and resist that late night scroll as the light that emits from your phone actually suppresses melatonin which aids sleep.
✨Exercise. You don't have to run a marathon for exercise to help you sleep! Simply getting some extra steps into your day will mean your mind and body is much more willing to relax into a peaceful nights sleep.
