A few months ago we were contacted by the O2 Academy to produce some custom designed 'Cinema Marquee Prints' to be displayed in O2 Academy dressing rooms across the country, promoting their various Twitter handles to the world famous bands and artists that play there.

We are on the look out for some very special elves to help us over the Christmas period. Have you got what it takes to be part of The Drifting Bear Co. team?

EXPERIENCED DESIGNER / ARTWORKER

We are on the look out for an experienced designer / artworker to help us on a temporary basis during our busy Christmas period.

You will be working on a variety of our graphic and photographic prints, customising each design with the customers own information supplied. You will be working from your own home/office and required to use your own Mac and copy of Adobe Creative Suite. We will pay per design to an agreed price. This will be worked out by the average time it should take to create each design.

Skills required:

Previous graphic design experience
An exceptional eye for typographic detail
Able to work to tight deadlines and as part of a team
Organised and able to use your own initiative
Good English and Grammar skills
Mac & Adobe CS skills

CHIEF PACKERS

Working here at Drifting Bear HQ in Teignmouth, Devon, you will be part of our all important pack and wrap team.

Duties will include preparing tubes and packaging, handling and wrapping fine art prints, reporting print errors, dispatching items on the online system. Pay: £6.50 per hour.

Skills required:
An exceptional eye for detail
Able to work well under pressure and as part of a team 
Organised and able to use your own initiative 
Good English and Grammar skills
Concientious worker with a tidy manner

Our latest prints have been inspired by those adventures shared with a loved one. It doesn't matter how big or small. From swimming with dolphins to making mud pies in the garden, these prints are all about remembering the good times and making everyday memorable.

With Father's Day in mind, first up is our Personalised 'Adventure' Print. With Dad as the main adventurer, this print rewards badges for each of Dad's adventures, either alone, or with a child. The title can be changed to suit anybody - couples, friends, or a lone adventurer!

Our new Personalised 'Our Adventures' Print takes on the same idea, but lists the adventures on a zig zag pattern that resembles a destination signpost. The proud adventurers names appear in a logo at the top. This print acts as great reminder that adventures do really happen here, there and everywhere!

We all love a good love story and felt privileged when a customer chose to order one of our Personalised Coordinate Prints to commemorate a very unusual engagement. When we saw the text “ENGAGED, LONDON MARATHON 2014, MILE 17”, we couldn't help but get in touch to find out more - How exciting!

We get lots of orders for engagement and wedding gifts, but this proposal was a little different. The order was a gift for Laura and Craig who got engaged on Sunday 13th April 2014, during the London Marathon. To run the marathon in itself is a huge achievement, but imagine the adrenaline rushing around as Craig knew he was about to propose! 17 miles worth of anxiety… gosh.

We were able to use the exact coordinates where, down on one knee, Laura's answer to the all important question was of course “Yes!”.

We’re so happy we were able to create a print for such a momentous occasion and wish the couple a lifetime full of happiness.
